PS3 (FPS), 720p, 60FPS

Seg 1 encoded at 2011-04-22

  • Played in Black Magic's Media Player Express, which does not allow one to view live video at native resolutions. This made playing Killzone exceptionally difficult, since objects were very small, albeit not as difficult as on my CRT tv.

Segment 1

Download - 1.7gb

~1 hour, x264/MP3

The audio for segment 1 suffered an echo from my microphone. I edited this in post-production to minimize the impacts but the echo is still audible in some parts.

Segment 2

Download - 3.2gb

~1:45 hours, x264/MP3

During 1:11 to 1:14 I was multitasking irl conversation with the game. I also truncated some idle time at the beginning of the video. Also, because I foolishly used noise reduction on the voice stream and had to try to compensate afterwards, my voice will sound a bit weird.

Segment 3

Part A

Download - 2.3gb

~2 hour, x264/MP3

I edited out two areas of ~1 minute idle time each. This is also a slightly lower quality encode than segment 2, as each part of segment 3 was around 4 gigs a piece and I was too lazy to make a perfect balance (as cutting out the idle time is very annoying without being able to directly edit the video). I'll use segment 4 as an experimentation for a better crossoff. The quality is still high, but I personally can notice a difference and this bothers me. I did not do the same audio rebalancing on seg 3 that I did on seg 2 as I did not feel it was necessary. My voice will be quiter but still quite audible.

Part B

Download - 1.8gb

~1:30 hours, x264/MP3

Segment 4

Download - 636mb

~30 minutes, x264/AAC

I ended up doing dynamics processing post-merge on the audio. This also uses new encoding settings which are higher quality than Seg 3 but smaller than Seg 2.
